RIVER CITY EVENT RENTALS

Safety Is the Product

You are handing us your backyard and your kids' afternoon. That deserves more than a promise that everything will be fine. Below is exactly what we do on every single delivery, what we ask of you, and proof that the person setting up your equipment is trained to do it.

Certified Operator

Advanced Certified Inflatable Safety Operator

River City Event Rentals is owned and operated by Miguel Rodriguez Santiago, who holds the Advanced Inflatable Safety Operations Certification from SIOTO — the Safe Inflatable Operators Training Organization. Certified August 2026.

The Advanced level covers large slides, obstacle courses, interactive games, and multi-unit setups — not just basic bounce houses.

Most companies will tell you they are trained. Click the link below and confirm ours in about five seconds.

VERIFY CERTIFICATION

What We Do Before Your Party Starts

Site inspection on arrival

Before anything comes off the trailer, we walk your site and check four things: what's underground, what's overhead, what's around the setup area, and what's already on the ground. Sprinkler heads, utility lines, power lines, tree limbs, fences.

Full clearance on all sides

The clearance we leave around a unit equals the height of that unit — all the way around. A fifteen-foot slide gets fifteen feet of clear space in every direction. If your site can't support that, we tell you before we set up, not after.

Dedicated, grounded power

Every blower runs on its own dedicated circuit with GFCI protection. We never share the circuit that runs your air conditioner or your dryer, and we don't use "whatever outlet is closest."

Proper anchoring

Stakes are driven straight down, and every stake top is capped so nobody trips on it. If a stake hits something underground, we stop and relocate it.

Full inflation and inspection

Before anyone gets on, we confirm the unit is fully inflated and walk it completely — interior surfaces and seams, padding, netting and mesh walls, the entrance ramp, and the blower tube connection.

We Don't Leave Until You Know How to Run It

Briefing the responsible adult is our job, not something we hand off on a printed sheet.

Before we go, we walk you through it in person: where the blower's on/off switch is, how the blower is secured to the unit, what to watch and listen for, and exactly what to do if the weather turns. We show you the anchor points. Then you sign off that the setup is complete and the walkthrough happened.

That signature protects both of us. It also means nobody is left guessing at 2pm on a Saturday.

What We Ask of You

Adult supervision at all times

Not most of the time. An adult watches the unit whenever anyone is on it. This is the single biggest factor in whether an inflatable event goes well.

Group riders sensibly

Keep participants together by age, height, and weight. Big kids and little kids on the same unit at the same time is where most injuries come from.

Check the unit periodically

Five things: the entrance, the exit, the blower, the blower tube, and the anchor points.

If the weather turns, act immediately

Get everyone off the unit, turn off the blower, and disconnect the power. In that order. Then call us.

Our Weather Policy

We monitor conditions before and during your event using Doppler radar, NOAA, and Weather.com — and we watch gusts, not just sustained wind. A calm average with hard gusts is more dangerous than steady wind, and it's the condition that causes most inflatable incidents.

Lightning, heavy rain, or approaching storms mean the unit comes out of service. We would rather have an uncomfortable conversation three days out than an emergency on the day.

LICENSED AND INSURED

River City Event Rentals LLC carries commercial liability insurance. Venues, schools, churches, and HOAs that need a certificate of insurance naming them as additional insured can request one — just ask when you book and we'll take care of it.

Questions About Safety at Your Venue?

Some sites have quirks — narrow gates, concrete surfaces, overhead lines, tight yards. Tell us about yours and we'll tell you honestly whether it will work.
